Elon Musk, the ambitious man that knows how to hype and boss of Tesla and Space X, posted an April Fool’s joke on Twitter. The joke was saying that his electric car company Tesla has gone bankrupt. Elon Musk wrote, “Despite intense efforts to raise money, including a last-ditch mass sale of Easter Eggs, we are sad to report that Tesla has gone completely and totally bankrupt. So bankrupt, you can’t believe it.”
Elon Musk’s prank has him sitting beside a Model 3 with a cardboard sign reading “bankwupt,” yep with a W, not an R. Sounds like how Bugs Bunny would say that word.
The woes continue for automaker as the NTSB (US National Transportation Safety Board) investigation involving a Model X crash near Mountain View, California last week (March 23rd) continues. The driver of the Model X, 38 year old engineer at Apple, Wei Huang died at the hospital. The Autopilot was engaged as Tesla confirmed, but the driver ignored the repeated warning sounds and his hands were not detected on the steering wheel prior to impact of the highway barrier. The NTSB was not happy that Tesla released the data before a final investigation could be completed. Several months ago a Tesla Model S that was also running on Autopilot had a collision with a fire truck.
Tesla Goes Bankrupt
Palo Alto, California, April 1, 2018 — Despite intense efforts to raise money, including a last-ditch mass sale of Easter Eggs, we are sad to report that Tesla has gone completely and totally bankrupt. So bankrupt, you can't believe it.

This prank is certainly telling tale of what may happen to Tesla as it bleeds through millions of dollars each day. The all-electric automaker is heavily indebted and hasn’t turned a profit since it began operations back in 2003. Its woes continue as it lost a quarter of its share value since February. In March, Tesla’s stock saw the steepest monthly drop since December 2010, which is the year the company went public.
